Two goals from our captain Cesc Fabregas ensured victory against Middlesborough, which should be a good boost for the squad (and the fans), as losing to Chelsea left a few of us down over the weekend.

The first goal cannot go mentioned without the incredible passing of the team; Bendter’s little backheel to Cesc, to play a ball through to Arshavin (who as any arsenal fan knows is working out very well for us), to pass it back to Cesc in the box with a powerful shot in the back of the net. The second was a ball played through to Fabregas, and with Jones coming out too far, Cesc was able to dribble around him and place into the net.

Arsene decided to take him off at the 68th minute, but for good reason. With the Champions League against Manchested United coming up on Wednesday, resting Cesc could be vital, and this win should only help our moral coming into that game. I’ll leave with highlights from the Emirates, and also an apology, as school has been piling up against me, so an excuse for the lack of posts.

So Cesc started his first game back against Manchester City, and did very well. To be honest, I didn’t think Cesc would have a very good game out, just considering the fact that he hadn’t played in awhile, but I was thankfully surprise.

Two Assists?!?! you kidding me, Cesc? Having him back was an absolute joy. The first assist was just from a freekick, but still showed amazing quality by picking Adebayor out. The second assist was probably my favorite. Adebayor in the box, and with this little “lift” of the ball, almost as if he was throwing the ball to Ade, he tossed it right over Dunne, with Ade putting it in the net after dribbling around Given.

So he’s back, and he’s making his importance known, not that anyone needed a reminder. Unfortunatly I won’t be able to watch the Villarreal game, as I have class in an hour, (THANKS SCHOOL) but I will definitely post after.

Here’s the highlights from the game.

Arsenal v Manchester City
by singbaid

AND by the by…. anyone else notice Cesc’s new tattoo? Look at the picture above for a look see. On his elbow? Does anyone know what it is? Maybe I should be the one that is supposed to know. Oh well.

Not sure on whether he will start the game. I’m doubtful he will, but we have a few injuries coming into this game, so Arsene might be forced to. Wenger has also come out and said that it would take probably 3 matches before Cesc is back to playing the way we’re all used to, but either way, its good to have him back in the squad, and more importantly, I have something to write about again!

So I started writing for the Fabregas Offside RIGHT as he got injured, and there hasn’t really been much to write about. I feel like I have somewhat neglected this blog, and although there hasn’t been much talk, I still could have posted a picture of Cesc Fabs in crutches, or something along the lines of that. A few things have been said in the past 2 months or so, so I decided to touch base with those now.

Before that, here’s that picture of Cesc as a cripple.

Fabregas not thinking about football: After getting injured, Cesc came out on Arsenal.com saying that he wasn’t watching football for the first time in awhile, opting to just focusing on getting back to full fitness.

“Of course I love watching Arsenal, and I will never miss a game when I can help it, but apart from that I’m just forgetting about everything to do with football. Even my girlfriend is surprised because it’s unusual for me, but to be honest when it comes to football at the moment, I am off it until I can start to get fit again”, Cesc Fab says. “I think in six years I’ve only ever had three consecutive weeks without football. That’s not normal for a 21 year-old. For Arsenal and Spain at all levels I think I have played 270 games – for a 21 year-old that’s not normal so I guess at one stage this had to happen. I want to relax as much as possible, and I’m sure I will come back stronger.”

Whatever he’s got to do to come back quicker, please do so. there isn’t enough to write about!

Fabregas to return earlier: Many sources are saying that Cesc is on the road to recovery, and could return a lot sooner that expected. Cesc has been in Barcelona with medical specialist and apparently the ligament in his leg has healed.

”Now it is about building up the muscle and on Thursday I had a very little jog for the first time, so it is good news and I am happy because I can see a big improvement. I will take it step by step, but hopefully I can come back earlier than first expected. However, let’s wait and see.” Fabs continued with, ”I will be coming back to England in two weeks’ time and, after being assessed by the physios, we will set a target date for my return.”

It would be nice to have him back at the Emirates. Even though he can’t play, I think his presence around the training grounds could boost morale for the other players, and in turn, might boost his morale as well. Although Football Manager may disagree (a 14 for influence?) I believe him to be very influential on the pitch and during training.

here’s to a hopeful quick recovery from Cesc. I leave you with this dumb picture of Cesc as Steve Urkel.

The Cesc Fabregas blog is back! I noticed a few weeks ago that this hasn’t been written on since around JULY, so I emailed Daryl telling him I was interested. Here’s some little things that have happened since the summer for Cesc:

- Won Euro
- Became Arsenal Captain
- Got Injured and is out for 4 months

But other than that, nothing has really happened for him. Obviously, I started writing for this blog RIGHT after he gets hurt, so there isn’t a whole lot to write about. I’ll try to post randoms til he’s back on the pitch, who knows, he could go on a vacation or something. Once he went to Disneyland.

A little about me: I helped out Al at The Atletico Offside while he was on vacation, and I really enjoyed writing for this website. LOVE Cesc Fabregas (ask Drew at The Spurs Offside), so I got to writing for this, and I’m very happy to be a part of this community. I will still help out Al at the Atletico Offside, Although this will be my main one, so keep a look out for that!

I’ll leave you with one of the goals that made me a Cesc fan from <del datetime="00">last season</del> 06/07, against Bolton.

And with that the Cesc Fabregas Offside blog has begun. It’s been a long time in the making, mainly because I’m Procrastination Patti, but I’m glad to have finally gotten this started. Everyone’s favorite Gunner hasn’t been able to keep his name out of the press, or Hleb’s mouth, this summer and I figured why not start blogging about him for The Offside.

I suppose I have to do a little intro of myself. My name is Samantha, not Patti as you might have previously thought. I’m old enough to be Cesc’s older sister and I’m actually a Fulham fan. I frequent a bar called The Highbury so in this past season I found myself watching many more Arsenal games than a non Arsenal fan probably should. I would have to say they’re my second favorite team in the EPL. I know that sounds pretty lame, but again I’m a Fulham fan…it’s not like those two teams are at anytime competitive with one another. They’re practically in different leagues. That’s my justification and I’m sticking to it! Anyways, I’m not quite sure when my love for Cesc developed but I’m sure it was after everyone’s else love had already developed so I’m a little behind the curve there. With that all said, I hope to just bring you all the Cesc info you’ll ever need…and a lot of pictures, too.

Because most of the other player blogs started off with a nice little bio of their highlighted player I found a nice video for you all to watch to give you an idea on Francesc “gift to the world” Fabregas Soler (did you think I was actually going to write a bio?):

So welcome to the Cesc blog! Feel free to leave behind any questions, comment, criticisms or deep thoughts you might have about the subject. Believe it or not, I’d love to hear them.
